Benefits and Challenges of Students’ Internship

Internships offer real-life work experience in a prospective career field. For  students, the word «internship» is not unfamiliar, but can be quite frightening. The best way to approach an internship is not as a requirement, but as a stepping stone to opportunities. This post won’t serve as a simple guide to getting an internship. This post is for the dreamers, the goal-setters, the doers, and the people who believe that the steps taken now will undoubtedly shape and strengthen their future. The future waits for no one. Never has there been a better time to dive right in. Now that I think that is  time for a reflection on my internship as a whole thus far: how this experience has influenced my future and how my university schooling prior to my internship has helped me there.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have known the importance of focusing on my future. My experiences as an intern started the last year at university. The last year I had my internship as a English teacher while this year I try my best as the teacher of French .This experience expanded the foundation of my ambitions. The practicalities of the school, the education required ,the experience of working with pupils of different age and with different level of knowledge  and the etiquette that should always be displayed were just a few of the things that I learned. Most importantly, in this position, my university’s long goals were affirmed. I had many responsibilities and duties as a teacher and I understand that teaching is quite not simple ,this process must include a lot of work, a lot of responsibility and a lot of  love ,love for what are you doing. Sure there were some problems with pupils because each of them poses a different level of knowledge, with organizing a lesson because the teacher of French from this school has a different way of teaching, the problems with the space and classrooms that are cold and dark and so on. These are some unimportant troubles that did not negatively influenced me during my teaching experience.

In conclusion I can say that an internship may seem intimidating, but it is important to examine your interests in depth so that you can be confident in all of your abilities. As you develop your career path, remember to be yourself and let your natural light shine. Seek out opportunities that reflect what you care about and want to pursue.
